Receiving a toothbrush for Christmas ranks somewhere between receiving socks and nothing. But finding the right oral care product can help your smile obsessed friends have a white (smile) Christmas. Here are some products that make your secret santa feel merry and leave their teeth bright.

Crest 3D White Whitestrips with Light

(From the website) Crest 3D White’s new, unique blue light system uses the same type of light technology dentists use. The blue light weakens stains so that the whitening ingredient can work more effectively. The result is dramatically better whitening compared to strips alone that lasts up to 36 months.

Quip Electric Toothbrush

Quip toothbrushes feature an electric motor that vibrates at an industry standard 15,000 RPM to provide a thorough yet non-damaging cleaning action. The Motor pulses every 30 seconds to help you evenly clean teeth and gums and cuts out at 2 minutes to let you know when to stop. The stylish looking handle is precision cut aluminum that is bead blasted by machine and anodized to endure a lifetime of cleaning. You can also subscribe to get a fresh brush head every three months, which is how often you should be changing out your brush.

Radius The Source Toothbrush

Do you have a friend that loves white smiles and fancy looking toothbrushes matched with an eco-friendly design? The will love the Radius.

(from the website) Thanks to replacement-head technology and a handle made from repurposed materials, the Source™ reduces waste by 93%. When you’re done with one of its patented, gum-stimulating heads you simply swap it for another.

Poseidon Oral Irrigator

Why use an oral irrigator? It easily flosses your teeth without fear of slicing your gums and will reach more areas floss can’t seem to get to. The Poseidon Oral Irrigator features interchangeable tips allowing multiple users to use the same device and a plug in cradle to store and charge the device so it’s ready to go when you are.

Go Smile Stain Erasers

For your wine lover friend, these sticks act like a bleaching pen for your teeth.

(from the website) Everyday, your teeth are exposed to food and drinks that can stain your teeth. Since teeth are porous, the stains can soak deep inside the enamel unless you act quickly. Keep our GO SMILE Stain Erasers on hand and you can erase stains before they set into your teeth. Apply anytime, anywhere—Just Flip, Pop, and Touch Up! Perfect for red wine stains, as well as coffee and tea!

With wedding season in full swing, we know brides want pearly white teeth to match that beautiful white dress.

You can give the appearance of a whiter smile by wearing brighter shades of lipstick, like red, which really makes your smile pop!

Clinique created an entire line of 12 lipsticks in varying shades aimed at making your smile appear brighter.  Clinique claims, “On application, Clinique’s specially designed lipstick colours create a contrast that brightens your smile.”  These great lip shades might be a less expensive alternative to professional whitening treatments.

If you want long-lasting whiteness, we suggest you ask your dentist if these procedures below will work for you to enhance your smile.

You can always go with Zoom! Whitening, a professional in-office whitening treatment done under the supervision of a dental professional.  This laser whitening procedure claims to brighten your smile by up to 8 shades, which is nearly enough to match a wedding gown!  The average cost is about $500; however, www.DentistUSA.com Dentists often post deals for Zoom! Whitening and other in-office whitening procedures.   The best part about this method:  the busy bride will certainly be able to spare 45 minutes it takes to complete this procedure.  Find a Cosmetic Dentist here.

Another great program that many of our DentistUSA dentists participate in is Free Whitening for Life.  With Free Whitening for Life, dentists are able to offer free, take-home, customizable whitening trays upon completion of dental treatments.  These bleaching trays require 7-10 days of application and can brighten teeth by up to 6 shades.

White strips & whitening polishes are also an effective alternative to many professional whitening systems.  Brides might opt for these, as they’re an inexpensive alternative to the above two methods, and they’re available in most drugstores.  These take home strips and polishes can take anywhere from 7 to 30 days to work and usually brighten your teeth by a few shades.

A brighter, whiter smile that brides can show off

All these are fantastic ways to achieve a brighter, whiter smile on your wedding day.  They range from choosing a brightening lip color to visiting a dentist to find the best medical program for you.

Have you inquired about teeth whitening procedures for your wedding?  Find a Cosmetic Dentist online here!

We always recommend consulting a dental professional before starting any cosmetic or dental treatment.  Please contact a dentist to find out which of the above is right for you, and do your research beyond this before making a decision.  This blog post in no way is to replace medical advice.

The Golden Globes are watched as much for their fashion as they are for the awards given out.  The lovely gowns, hair, makeup and endless amount of jewels were flaunted on the red carpet along with one accessory each star had in common – a smile!

Here are our favorite smiles from the red carpet (surely they thanked their dentists!):

Paula Patton, who starred in last year’s Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol glowed on the red carpet.  Our favorite accessory: her genuine, glowing smile!

Sofia Vergara from TV’s Modern Family looked stunning in this navy dress by Vera Wang.  Her coy smile on the red carpet added a bit of mystique to her look.

Sofia Vergara’s co-star Julie Bowen is giving off a radiant smile in this photo!  You can easily tell this is a real smile due to the lines that form around her eyes.  Julie has a lot to be smiling about– Modern Family took home the Golden Globe for Best TV Series, Comedy!

Rooney Mara, Golden Globe Nominee for Best Actress in a Drama for her role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo simply looks bored in this photo.  A smile would have surely made Rooney appear more enthusiastic on the carpet!

Alternatively, Piper Perabo looks positively radiant in this photo.  Rooney Mara should take a few lessons from Piper.  Look at how great her smile looks!  Piper truly seems to be enjoying being on the red carpet and showing off the smile her dentist gave her.

Viola Davis, star of The Help looked stunning in this maroon gown, and her teeth also looked sparkly white!! Here’s a tip to make teeth appear whiter: Wear a dark red shade of lipstick.  It usually does the trick quite well– Viola Davis’ smile couldn’t be any brighter.

Who were your favorite celebrities at the Golden Globes last night?  If you crave their smiles, see your Dentist via DentistUSA today!
